Brand New Transmission Main Shaft Seal (Input Shaft Seal) for 1961-91 Manual Transmissions
This seal goes around the mainshaft and keeps the gear oil in your transmission. Getting the old seal out is tough, but if you have a seal puller, it makes the job a lot easier. Use a one ft. long piece of 1 1/2" pipe and drive the seal in straight.
Fits Bug 50-79, Bus 68-74, Ghia 56-74, Thing 73-74, Type 3 68-74, Vanagon 80-91.
