Rebuilt Volkswagen Air-Cooled Turn Key Complete Engines, 1600 & 1641 cc

AA-GEX now offers a selection of Pancake Style Type III Turn Key Engines for your 63-74 Squareback, Notchback and Fastback. These are available in both Stock and High Performance configurations.

All AA-GEX Turnkey VW Engines are Hot Run and Tested under Load Conditions and all dual port engines now come the NEW cylinder heads as standard equipment.

The below engines with crate weigh 320 pounds.

Starting with a Premium GEX Long Block with NEW Heads, the basic 1600 cc and 1641 cc VW Turn Keys include:

1600 cc VW Dual Port Beetle Motor

  • 69 mm Stroke x 85.5 mm Bore
GEX 1600 cc Type III, Turn Key can be use to replace your worn-out dual port. Originally offered from Volkswagen in 1967 for the Type III, the 1600 cc is the most economical replacement motor available. The EMPI dual 34's will give you more horsepower than your stock carburetors.
